Hm. Irene, have fun reading all of the stuff I posted while you were @ camp! ^^
So far today, I've made a DADA piccy..well, it's actually a "boggar lesson" piccy from Book #3. It's cool, even tho it was really big so I only used part of it for the site. So then I hade to make a DADA page to put it on. Which I did (go look! here!). And then I got to thinking about the classes page, and wondering if we really wanted to make a diff page for DADA I, DADA II, etc. So then I thought, well, if we just put it on one page, we don't need the rightside... So I made another classes w/a slightly different layout. Compare the original with the new one and tell me which one looks better/is easier to navigate/is easier for us. K?
That's all I've done so far, 'cept I found Quidditch House Team buttons I made a while ago that're cool. =) Updates will follow.

I did a lot of..icky work. Stuff that needed done. But wasn't exactly fun. I finished the newbie section(I did the "about" page). Then I made the links on the main page rainbowy when you hover. And I did it to the CRs, too, but I'm not sure if I like them that way or if they were better plain. I also re-did the link section, the FAQ, the about, and the RPG pages in tables and linked them to the main frames. Then I had to go and change the pages with table links like the main pages. I think everything is right now. For now.
Okay, for the "GP" stuff. I mentioned last night about needing an explination page for that. But my question for tonight is: where are we going to link it? Do we need a seperate GP section in the links, or should we put it under the RPG, or should we just leave it at the top? And do we want the GP page that you made to have tables? Y/N?
I think I covered all my other questions last night. I may add onto this later, once I do more. It's only 8:30, after all (tho I am tired, Garage Sale day was today. And tomorrow. And Saturday. Ugh).
Later... Okay, I linked everything, I fixed a bunch of stuff, I made the Library and linked it to the CRs, and I made the Forbidden Forest, linked it to everything, and linked the forum to it. Now all I have to do is make piccys for all these pages. Ugh. Let's see, we still need: - Shops
- Dining Hall
- FAQ for the RPG
- Chat Rooms for the CRs
- Link to's
- Graphics/Headers/etc
Though I'm sure more stuff to do will turn up. It always does. Oh, and I'm going to work some on the RPG forums, make a header (or use the header we have, dunno) and link it. Stuff like that. But not important stuff.
Ugh. Is that all I did? It seemed like I did a lot more. And it took forever. And I need to update my site and make a link to so that I can link it to our site. Need to do that for Astronomy, too. And *you* need to make a linkto button for your site....

I worked mostly on the "newbie/join" section tonight. First, I made an "introduction" page. It needs help, but that's okay, it's just temporary and it's better than nothing. I linked it to the Sorting Hat, the Rules page, the FAQ, and the index. Speaking on Rules and FAQ, I completely re-made those pages tonight. All I have left to do for the intro is the "about" stuff. Should we have an "about the site" and an "about the web-witches/headmistresses" or put them together? And should we have an FAQ for the RPG, an FAQ for the site and and FAQ for the Guided Plot (hereafter refered to as the GP), or just one for the RPG? Or one for the RPG and site? Or RPG and GP?
Speaking of the RPG, are we going to have the characters from the books in our GP/RPG? Or just made up characters (like it's years after Harry Potter & co)? Because if we're going to allow people to play characters not from the books...then...urgh, I'm going to have to add stuff to the FAQ, Rules, and Sorting Hat. *And* we'd have to do a general members page so that ppl could see if their char. from the book was taken. And if we *don't* allow people to be characters from the books, (urgh), I still have to update the Sorting Hat, FAQ, and Rules! And maybe we should make a general "members" list that we could put under the ~RPG~ heading on the leftside, and then just re-link to their profiles in each common room (CR) for the "members" list on the rightside of the CR, anyway? What do you think? (lemme know when you get back from camp)
What else...I need to fix the "How to RPG" page. Get rid of the links to the old graphics and change fonts and colors and stuff. And I found a spiffy counter at darkcounter, but I didn't sign up for it yet. And V3 has the re-direct URL things, but so does Bravenet. So where do we want ours?
And more RPG stuff. Do we want to have a mailing list thing for ppl to join so that we send weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/whatever newsletters to the RPers? Or do we just want to "bookmark" their addys in our e-m@il account and then select all of them when we send newsletters? Do we even want to send newsletters? (I was thinking maybe for major events in the GP or quidditch stuff or a new GP line). Should we just have one for the GP or should we have one for the whole school, with GP news in it? And what about the "daily" prophet? Are we going to have our own "wizarding newsletter" that we let ppl submit stuff to (choose a staff, and then an "editor" or two who recieve the articles, etc and actually do the publishing?), or are we just going to say forget it? I mean, it *could* be kind of fun, if ppl would submit stuff..maybe we could award house points for stuff?
You'd better actually read this and give me answers! lol Seriously. I'm really just putting my thoughts down so that I don't forget stuff. But, above all, we HAVE GOT to have a GP explanation page. Not FAQ. Where we say the GP works by...and this is what you do...and this is why we're doing this..etc. Or something. Where should that be? Urgh..it's late. And Mom keeps yelling at me to "get off the comp"...it's not even that late, it's only 9:50! I mean, most other ppl our age stay up until 1:00am, but I don't (i don't even want to!). Urgh. And it's not *my* fault I was helping her get ready for the garage sale all day.
Pardon me if this seems unorganized. It is. This is the state of chaos in my brain all the time. lol Another question: I think it would be cool to have random "Harry Potter" polls..like one on the main page and then little polls/questions for extra house points (ie: What is Prof. Flitwick's favorite drink from the Three Broomsticks?). Occasionally. And I still think we should have contests. And change the homework...twice a year. Or something. And where are we going to have the info/rules for Quidditch? On a seperate page, or maybe at the top of the Quidditch Field message board (you can put stuff there, you know)? And sometime I'll do "intro" pages for the Forbidden Forest (actually called the Dark Forest in the movie. Wired), Shops, and Dining Hall. Umm...I think that's all. For now.

Okay, yesterday I updated the disclaimer and mostly re-did the sorting hat, and changed "classes2" to "classes" so that I didn't have to change all of the links in the common rooms. I also put a "message from the headmistresses" on the main page. And I think I might add something to the common rooms, I dunno. Do you think the font on the main page/etc is readable? I mean, for links it's fine, but I might change it to something else for the news and stuff (verdana? or Comic Sans? or something?). I don't know what I'm going to do right now; maybe I'll just..um...? I'll post later...when/if I do something.
