Okay. I did the Quidditch page. Read it and tell me whatcha think and add rules/whatever you think it needs. (can you understand it? lol). Here! Once we get that linked to everything, we can let ppl sign up for the house teams. But where should we link it? Just to the common rooms? Or to the main page, etc.? We/I didn't leave a link for it because I didn't even think about doing a Quidditch rules, etc. page until I realized that we had to have one. lol Then we can make the House Team pages. I have piccys for those pages already. And I need to make link-tos for the site. And for the individual CRs. Should I use the "Proud to be" and "House team member" buttons (that are/will be on the CR and Quidditch House team pages) as link-to's or not? I dunno. And once we have the Quidditch teams assigned, I'll have to make buttons for that to put on the profile pages (ie: Gryffindor Seeker, Ravenclaw Beater, etc for each house). Just because. And I really ought to make a banner/button thing for the HP Banner/Button exchange...and I need to make piccys for the library, etc. Oh, for the FF page, should I add flying bats or something? Maybe? And what do we want on the shops page?

Okay, I updated the main page (message from the headmistress and news), I sent out a newsletter informing everyone that the GP opens tomorrow, and I THINK I fixed the DP page. Sometime I need to go through the site and make sure all the links work and stuff. But we can do that later. We also need to get the Quidditch page up. I think I'll make a header for that sometime. Oh, and I checked our mail. We have several homework assignments that need to be graded. Do you want to do that or do you want me to? Or should we both grade and then compare answers? lol Yes, we need to talk on IM sometime about the DP, and maybe the yearbook, too. ;) No pwds on the common rooms is fine, we'll have to see how it works. =) Yeah, the patrollers could be the moderators and stuff. I dunno, maybe we could arrange special "patroller meetings" or something (have a pw protected page for the patrollers)..and maybe a message board, since you have to have a boardhost account thing to be a moderator anyway. I think that's all. =) For now, of course..
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, we really have got to get up our "about the headmistresses" pages! But what do we put on them? lol We need to talk about that on IM, too. ;)

Okay, I know you haven't even read what I said below about the Daily Prophet, but I went ahead and made a possible layout for it. (you should probably read below before you read this, if you haven't already). You can view the layout here. Isn't it cool? It took me sooo long to make it, but that's okay because I'm sneezy and dun feel like doing nething else. So. What do you think?

Okay. Yeah, I don't know if ppl are nice enough just to use their own common rooms, but we could say, "so many points will be taken from your house if you post in a diff. CR" or something. Maybe we should try it and then if it doesn't work just put the pws back up. I dunno.
Yeah, I think she's getting back Friday or something. =) I'll talk to her about it then.
Okay, that sounds fine. But then what will we do with our class pages? I dunno.
For now, at least let's just keep one. But if I feel like making another layout, I might do that. =) Yes, I'll have to show you, it's not very hard.
K, I'll work on the Creative Writing/Newswriting classes today. Minna had a good idea for the DP. We can have a forum where people submit stuff (we'd have to have a terms of agreement thing, so that the editors can check spelling and stuff), and then Editors (who are also Moderators) can take the ones they like. And then we could have a diff site (like www.geocities.com/hhdailyprophet or something), and the Editors can have the site password. And we'd do the layout and make it look "newspapery-ish" and maybe have frames or something and an e-m@il addy (daily.prophet@hiddenhogwartsowl.zzn.com) where ppl could send their fan art/comics if they don't have a URL to link it from. That way it wouldn't be crowding out the site and we wouldn't have to worry about it but it would still be more like a "newspaper". And we could assign ppl to be journalists and people to poll the CRs and stuff. And then the ppl with the pw to the site (Minna, Alanna, me, you, and maybe someone else) would take the finished articles, etc. and put them in to the Daily Prophet. And so they didn't have to do all the work, we could have seperate editors who take the submitted articles, etc. and spell check/edit them. And the teachers could post notices about homework (ie: new homework theme = new homework) and stuff like that, and we could "publish" the paper maybe once or twice a month (every 4 weeks or every 2 weeks), and when it wasn't published we wouldn't link it to the site (or we could neway), but we'd have the main page be "the newspaper stand is empty: the paper isn't out yet" or something, or we could just leave the old paper up. Or we could leave the old paper up for like 1/2 weeks and then take it down the week before the next paper was due to come out, so that it would be easier to do the links and stuff. That way we wouldn't really have to do much work, the piccys wouldn't crowd our URL, and stuff. I think it'd be really cool...maybe..=)
Okay, Friday sounds fine to me. I don't think I'm doing anything Friday, 'cept maybe going swimming in the afternoon w/Tammy or something. If you wanna go to Newport Aquarium tomorrow afternoon or Saturday or Sunday, that'd be great. =) Tammy and I are having a "party" around 7:00 and then watching the fireworks. Where are you watching fireworks (or are you)? That's kind of off-topic for this blog but o well.
Yeah, we should have a contest for the logos. Yes, you covered most of the stuff. I thought I put stuff in about having patrollers for the forest, but it must've been deleted by accident or something 'cuz I dun see it. But yeah, should we have "patrollers" for the (regular) forbidden forest? If yes, who should be allowed to be one? Should you have to have a certain score or pass a "test" that we make up, or should you just be allowed to join? And how many patrollers should we have? Not too many because then there wouldn't be anyone who WASN'T a patroller and we might as well not have them in that case. lol But reply and let me know whatcha think about this stuff. =) And update something. I dunno what.

Okay, I kind of like the idea of having pwprotected CRs & forums..but we can discuss that later. I made some *minor* changes to the main page, mostly updated the "message from the Headmistresses" and "news" and added little piccys. ;) We've got to find something to use the HogwartsExpress train on, I have a really cool piccy that I made (yes, boredom). I also made little buttons for all of the CRs except Raven, I need to find an eagle. And I was hoping to find an owl, but oh well. So I'm going to finish that and then update the CRs. Did that, and..we need to do link-to's. Or make a link-to pages anyway. I think I'll go make a poll now. And maybe put a "suggestion" box on the main page. We need a site logo. Should we have a "contest" or submission thing for one or just make it up ourselves? And..should the Common Rooms have their own logos?
Guided Plot...We need to start the GP before I leave next week (I leave on the 10th, Wednesday). And I'll only be gone until that Sunday, the 14th, but I'll be too tired to do anything until Monday, probably. So, what day do you want to "officially" open the site on? Thursday is the 4th of July...(are you planning on doing the canoe thing? My Dad & I are if it's not too hot, but Dad wanted to know if you were)..should we open it Friday? Or Saturday? Or next Monday? Or tomorrow? lol I don't know. And I need to sign up w/my charas. Blah. lol I think I'm gonna have to show you how to use the DIV layout I did for the Profiles so you can update them too. :[ lol
Classes..did we decide what we're gonna do for yearbook/the DP? (or do we want the "newspaper" to be called something else? Maybe the "Hogwarts Prophet?" or something? I dunno..) Because I can make the forums if we're going to have them. And is our RPG going to have a title different than Hidden Hogwarts? Because I would like to make a banner for the top of the forums. Also, Quidditch? What are the Rules/etc? I'm going to work on the page, you can add stuff to it later (add/edit stuff). And I wish someone would do the homework! But we only have 4..5...no! 6! classes up? Did you link the ones you started on to all the pages? Anyway, I need to make headers for the class pages, too, maybe. Maybe.
Profiles...should we make several different layouts for the profiles and let them choose which one they want? (ie, maybe have a Quidditch layout and a magical creature layout and an auror layout and a Dark Arts layout or something, in addition to the CR?) And/or, should we let them edit their own Profiles and add buttons/cliques and change/add info (with rules of course, like if you want a piccy on your page you have to have it someplace you can linkto it, we're not going to upload it to our server unless it's one of our link-to's)? They could e-m@il us the edited HTML document or something. Or should we just let them change profile info if they want (ie: I got a new pet, but I can't list it on my Profile, and then let them send an e-m@il with the extra info and put it on their page)? Or would that be too difficult? What do you think? It might be a little difficult, but I kind of like the idea...I don't know..
Idea..for the classes, I was thinking that maybe, instead of re-doing the classes every-so-often, we could just add a "theme" each month. Like next month the theme could be "Boggarts" and we could do stuff with that in DADA and Dark Arts, CMC, etc (like one "special" assignment/class), but for the Art classes we would just say "all work must have a Boggart theme" or something..or like "draw yourself facing the Boggart from DADA" or something. I dunno, we'd have to work out the details, but I think if we don't at least add something ppl are not going to do the HW because it will get boring, unless we get "teachers" and have message boards for them or let them put up their own lessons or something. I dunno..just a though.
Headmistress..and Alanna told me when she sent in her info that she still would like to help with our site. So...yes, no, or maybe? Or "yo no sé"? lol Anyway, she's on vacation this week. Lucky her, at the beach :P
Note to self: If we ever redo the layout, remind me to do it in frames! Tables are really annoying to add links. lol

No, we can't just put a pw on the Common Room pages. Because then all they would have to do would be go to the forums and they could post on ANY common room message board!! Because it shows all the forums on the main page, and if you go to your message board there's a "quick jump forum" thing that lists all the boards in our forum-they'd just highlight a diff. CR, press "go" and they could post. The only thing we might do would be pw protect the CRs and not pw protect the forums, and just hope people would be nice enough not to post in other CRs, and then take off points if they did. Or we could pw protect the CRs AND the forums. What do you think we should do?
I think when ppl sign up in boardhost, we should have them send us their ID# & char name so that we can "modify titles" so that even if their username doesn't have their studentname in it, ppl would know who they are because we'd "title" them w/their student name. What do you think?
I'm going to update the main page and CR pages now, I think..maybe...

Urgh! When will people learn how to use e-m@il forms correctly? It's not that hard, people! We've gotten so many blank forms and so many two-or-more copies of the same character info it makes me want to scream. But I won't. And my comp is making all the font really small so it's really hard to read stuff. And GRRRR. Lilac, we need to do:Oh, and BTW, why isn't anybody posting in the forums? THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE THERE FOR! Or are you all confused about the GP? Gah, read the rules, they're not all GP forums, only 3 are (that is why there's a section called Guided Plot in the forums, you know)! Okay, so..just..post! Ugh. Zzzzz..*needs sleep desperatley* It is: 6:33 AM. AM!!! I did not sleep at all last night. I've officially been "up" since 6:00. I checked mail and added two new people, and did their profiles. Both are Gryffindors. I'm not quite sure about one of their e-m@il addys, though. But..yeah...I think I need sleep. Thank goodness I'm not doing anything today. I might work on putting up some classes now, or I might not. We'll see.
